The Critical Difference
Traditional elastic wraps and fixed-length tourniquets struggle with three critical challenges: generating sufficient compression for deep arterial occlusion, maintaining tension as patient physiology changes, and accommodating large limb circumferences. Conventional elastic wraps lack necessary rebound force, while standard tourniquets lose compression when hemorrhagic shock reduces limb tissue volume—creating a dangerous scenario where arterial inflow continues while venous return remains restricted.
ReadyWrap™ addresses these limitations using a purpose-engineered Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) featuring 4X stretch, exceptional elastic rebound, and a naturally self-gripping surface. Its high rebound force allows ReadyWrap to dynamically contract as limb circumference decreases, maintaining consistent compression despite fluid shifts while performing reliably in extreme sub-freezing environments.
