Conventional foil-type "space blankets" offer poor thermal performance, tear easily under stress, and provide no structural warmth in severe weather. Furthermore, maneuvering an injured casualty into a standard sleeping bag is often impractical and risky, while heavy outerwear, body armor, or life jackets make standard wraps too small to cover the patient properly.
The Blizzard Trauma Blanket (BSP-01) sets the benchmark in thermal protection for casualties. Powered by 3-layer Reflexcell™ technology, it utilizes expandable metalized layers and an elastic core to create air-trapping baffles. This provides 7.5 Togs of warmth—equivalent to a medium-weight regular sleeping bag—in a vacuum-packed footprint no larger than a paperback book.
